Finnish Fair Church Guild Christmas Market
If you can’t afford a trip to Lapland to visit Santa this season, get down to the Finnish Fair Church Guild Christmas Market (November 18-26) instead, where you can pick up everything you need for your very own Joulupöyt. It boasts all the traditional Christmas fare, from gravadlax, lutefisk (dried fish) and Fazermints, to reindeer meat (sorry Rudolf) and all the ingredients for your laatikkos (that’s casseroles with liver and raisins to you and me). The fair is open to all, so pop in and enjoy a traditional Glögi aka mulled wine, while you browse. Hyvää Joulua to all.
For info, see Finnish Fair Church Guild Christmas Market listing.
