From afar it looks like a colourful mosaic work of art but up close the truth is revealed: it is just a load of old rubbish. Artist Miguel Romo has put together a pint-sized replica of Marble arch made from 120 bags of rubbish collected from Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street in only one day. That is a lot of trash. In a bid to educate the masses on the responsible disposal of rubbish, Westminster Council commissioned the artist to create the 3 meter high piece, which will be displayed next to its genuine Marble counterpart until November 29. Litter bugs, this one is for you.
