Whatsonstage.com Awards shortlists announced
The wait is over. We can now reveal the nominations for the Whatsonstage.com Awards and boy do they include a cracking line up: David Tennant and Catherine Tate for ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ (Theatre Event of the Year), Vanessa Redgrave and James Earl Jones for ‘Driving Miss Daisy‘ (Best Actress/Best Actor), ‘Matilda‘ and ‘Ghost‘ (Best New Musical), ‘Ecstasy’ and ‘Grief‘ by Mike Leigh (Best Play Revival/Best New Play) and The National Theatre leading the way with a whopping 22 nominations. The shortlist for the 12th annual awards were announced on Friday 2 December at the Café de Paris and are voted for purely by the ticket-buying public. Ladies and gentlemen, cast your votes now…
