This little piggy will be heading to the 28th Pig’s Ear Beer and Cider Festival (6-10 December) to raise a glass to Britain’s finest ales, ciders and perries. For the sixth year, the festival will be taking place at the grade-II listed Round Chapel in Hackney, where pint fanciers can sample a staggering range of tipples from local and international producers; in addition to showcasing the best of London’s new microbrewers (step up, East London Brewing and Redemption), this year will see the celebration of birra artiginale – craft brews from our Italian neighbours, with eight Italian ales available on draught. As usual, there will be revelry and refreshment by way of pub games and food stalls peddling cheeses, bratwursts, burgers and casseroles. Tickets cost £4, or £2 for Camra members.
