That’s a wrap: winter warmers at the cinema this Christmas
It’s a strange, unexplained tic of humanity that when Christmas rolls around, people like nothing more than to watch films that essentially remind them of the fact that it’s Christmas. Again. Thankfully, there’s a diverse range of festive treats on London screens this year, ranging from the gorgeous family saga ‘Meet Me in St Louis’ (above) at BFI Southbank and Frank Capra’s Christmastime suicide classic, ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ at numerous venues, to family classics like ‘Home Alone’ (at the Prince Charles) and the 3D version of Tim Burton’s ghoulish stop-motion masterwork, ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ (all over the place).
