Have London to yourself on Christmas Day

Posted at 12:15 pm, December 24, 2011 in Arts & Entertainment

If you’re looking for an alternative to sitting on the sofa and stuffing your face this Christmas, then look no further. A usual Christmas for Peter Berthoud is to bundle up the family at 5.30am (hope you don’t mind the dark!) and head in to central London to take in the delights of the city with practically empty streets. This year is the first time he is inviting us to join him. Offering three guided walks; before dawn, after breakfast and after lunch (for those who don’t fancy an early start) Peter and his friend Colin Davey, (both award winning Westminster tour guides), will show you the wonders of this city on empty streets. Without the tourists, shoppers, commuters and  busy business folk – bliss. The walks aim to uncover hidden gems and will focus on history, architecture, sculpture, painting, street-art, hidden London, food and drink and Westminster’s curiosities.

For info, see Unique Christmas Day Walks or to book email walks@peterberthoud.co.uk.
