TV comes to the big screen

Posted at 4:00 pm, January 19, 2012 in Arts & Entertainment

This Is England 88This weekend, the Ciné Lumière at the French Institute in South Kensington presents a unique weekender of new and recent British and French TV smashes. ‘Totally Serialized’ kicks off tonight with a screening of the first two episodes in sprawling new historical drama ‘Borgia’, and continues over the weekend with familiar fare such as ‘Spiral’ and ‘This is England 88’ (above) alongside brand new series like ‘Platane’, which co-stars Vincent Cassell alongside comedian Eric Judor, and ‘Inside Men’, the new BBC series about a band of security firm employees who plan a heist. Many of the screenings are accompanied by cast and crew Q&As – some of which will be hosted by your very own Time Out experts – and there’s even an all-night screening of the most recent series of smash UK superhero sitcom ‘Misfits’. Switch on and book now.
