On this day in 1961 – Disney’s ’101 Dalmatians’ was released
On this day over 50 years ago, the Disney classic ’101 Dalmatians’ was released. Featuring scenes of canines and their matching owners mincing around the capital, the famous SOS bark scene that saw the dogs of the capital unite, and Pongo’s mission to save his puppies from the dastardly Cruella DeVille, this is a somewhat forgotten London-based cartoon caper. The map above was featured in Becky Jones & Clare Lewis’ ‘London Adventure Walks for Families’ and was lovingly illustrated by Frances Bennett.
