He kicked the bucket. She’s bitten the dust. They’ve popped their clogs. For so many of us, death is a very sensitive subject. In a bold move, the Southbank Centre will be examining our attitudes towards death and lifting the lid on why we are so reluctant to talk about it from January 27-29. Through music, workshops, literature, installations (including a display of colourful coffins), talks with everyone from philosophers to funeral workers, the festival will quench all your morbid fascination and make you feel glad to be alive.
