The Duke Mitchell Film Club is one of the best movie-related nights out in London, offering truly obscure exploitation flicks alongside clips, docs and ‘trailer trash’. Now the twisted minds behind the club have teamed up with the good folks at the Roxy Bar and Screen to present Night of the Trailers, an epic compendium of bizarre, berserk, sometimes offensive, always explosive movie ads through the ages. Even the geekiest grindhouse aficionados will find something unexpected here, including one clip that hasn’t been screened anywhere since 1976. Night of the Trailers is this Sunday Feb 5 (7pm), in the plush environs of the Roxy Bar & Screen on Borough High St – and it’s all for free.
