Couch potato: what to watch online this week

Posted at 4:15 pm, February 5, 2012 in TV

Turn on (your computer), tune in (your brain) and cop out…1. bbciplayer.co.uk
If you haven’t seen it, don’t miss Abi Morgan’s superb adaptation of Sebastian Faulks’s bestseller ‘Birdsong’ (above), available until Feb 5.

2. tv-ark.co.uk
Venerable but still utterly wonderful collection of archive idents, graphics, credit sequences and clips covering everything from kids’ TV to local news.

3. tinyurl.com/Tonewurbanism
Babelgum’s ‘New Urbanism’ series shows off ‘imaginative, sustainable urban living’, including swimming pools made from dumpsters.

4. channel4.com/goksteens
Channel 4, probably the most web-savvy of the big broadcasters in terms of bonus content, has plenty of celeb interviews to tie in with Gok Wan’s new series.

5. blinkbox.com/TV/Free
The Blinkbox archive of free streamable TV and films has several gems, among them Chris Lilley’s offensively funny ‘Summer Heights High’.

See timeout.com/tv for full TV reviews and listings.
