Move on up at the Kinetica Art Fair
Not since ‘Experiments in Art and Technology’ in the ’60s has such a wholehearted attempt been made to combine these two disciplines. The annual Kinetica Art Fair brings together galleries, art organisations and curatorial groups from around the world to Ambika P3 this February 9-12, focusing on kinetic, electronic and robotic art, science and technology – generally lots of cool stuff that moves. Stelarc, the gentleman famed for having a cell cultivated ear surgically attached to his arm, is woefully absent from this year’s bill, however highlights include Dianne Harris’s spinning ‘Flour of life’ and David Ogle’s sumptuous ‘Linear UV drawings’. Get moving and book now.
