Bake a Bleeding Heart Cake this Valentine’s Day

Is there an equivalent term for a ‘scrooge’ of Valentine’s Day? If there is, I am one. Whether single or in a relationship, this is a international day of misery. Single people feel lonely, worthless and have to refrain from going out to eat unless they want to be bobbing in a sea of dates. Couples have the pressure of gifts, dinner and enforced lovey dovey fun. Why not give the whole thing a miss this year and whip up supremo baker Lily Vanilli’s Bleeding Heart Cake. The recipe doesn’t sound that difficult and it won’t matter if it comes out a red bloody mess because the only person that should be eating this is the most important person in your life – you.
