My funny Valentine: sew your own boobies and boys bits
Ethical fashion designer and thingamabob maker Ozden Demir is giving an unusually themed sewing workshop at Shoreditch eatery Cafeand. Participants are taught how to sew a beautiful set of ‘Cupid’s kettle drums’ or a gentleman’s resplendent felt ‘tackle’ and matching ‘tallywags’ between 5-8pm this Valentine ’s Day. All willie tubes and felt boobies made can be used as brooches, pin cushions or tokens of your love. However, if you don’t fancy sewing your own, ready-made ones will be available to buy. Since the whole point of the workshop is to mock Valentine’s, your chances of being ‘felt up’ during the sewing sesh will be minimal. Participants will make their crafty cocks to the dirty tunes of John Waters-esque music, while refreshment comes in the form of booby biscuits. Personally, I’ll be holding out for a Hob Knob.
