Splash the cash at Mark’s Bar at Hix Belgravia
Belgravia, we must admit, is not the first place that comes to mind when we’re after a wild night out. No underground Garage MCs, no Peckham conceptual art mobstas, and barely a Brit-Art flaneur to be spotted there. But Belgravia’s got money – and lots of it. Mark’s Bar at Hix Belgravia caters to the mink stole and valet-parked crowd, perhaps hardly surprising as it’s concealed in a luxury boutique hotel. It reeks of bankers’ bonuses and cheap perfume. Maybe that’s what we liked about it. Or maybe it was the brilliantly conceived and executed cocktails, made under the aegis of maestro Nick Strangeway.
