What does living in London do to your brain?
Anyone who’s ever felt the Piccadilly Line judder to a halt in the middle of a tunnel at rush hour when you’re eye level with an arm pit, will understand what it means to be stressed in London. Which is why The Monday Club’s evening, hosted by The Assembly, on ‘What does living in London do to your brain?’ comes as such a welcome relief. The night will be hosted by Matthew De Abaitua, author of neuro-novel ‘The Red Men’, on February 20 (7-10pm) on Elder Street in east London with guest speakers including novelist Will Self and The Guardian science correspondent Alok Jha. The debate will be fuelled by a menu from Blanch & Shock exploring the main side effects of city living dishes include ‘Claustrophobia’ and and are themed and plated accordingly.
