To celebrate London Fashion Week we asked a selection of top designers to tell us their favourite spots for shopping, relaxing and getting inspired.

Scottish designer Holly Fulton made an instant splash when she showed her first collection for Spring 2011. Instantly recognisable, her designs have a strong art deco theme, re-imagined in bold colours and fun, modern shapes.

Shop: Alfie’s Antiques Market. Too much.

Café: Corner Cafe – the nearest old school caffeine fix to my current abode.

Bar: Claridges. Deco decadence at its best. Or the Champagne Bar at St Pancras-had a fair few funny au revoirs there.

Favourite place to stay when in town: Town Hall Hotel, Bethnal Green. The best spot and lux rooms-who wouldn’t love a bed with a glass wall overlooking the bath? And the Corner Room is too good.

What are you looking forward to seeing in 2012? I’m looking forward to going to the Edinburgh Film Festival. 10 days of intense cinematic action in my home town. Cultural stimulation at its best.

Secret London spot: Lord Leightons House in Kensington. Its Victorian, camp exoticism at its best. I wish that studio was mine.

Hairdresser: Mike Quigley at Kim MacGregor in Edinburgh. The only man who touches my locks.

Market: Marche de Montreuil in Paris. Hardcore marketing at its best, you can usually unearth a true gem if you can handle the heckling.

Treat: A giant scone at the V&A or anything at Claridges bar-depends how flush I’m feeling.
