In pictures: Hyper Japan takes over Earls Court
If you were anywhere near Earls Court last weekend you’d be forgiven for thinking you’d inadvertently stumbled through the looking glass judging by some of the fashions sported in the surrounding streets. The reason? Thousands of Japanophiles descended on the exhibition centre for Hyper Japan – a three day celebration of Japanese food, drink, technology, fashion and pop culture. If you were looking to try sushi laced with popping candy, drink fine aged Sake or purchase some brainwave controlled animatronic cat ears to wear (yes, that’s brain wave controlled animatronic cat ears) then there was really no place better to be.
