Bag a Matthew Williamson Sainsbury’s shopper

Matthew Williamson for Sainsburys

It may be time to bid your glaringly orange Sainsbury’s Bag for Life goodbye, and welcome an altogether more stylish canvas carrier to your weekly shop. Matthew Williamson – the Brit designer who has a knack for abstract prints – has gifted the supermarket giant with three shopper designs. But his banana leaf printed bags (just £5) promise to do far more than just carry your tinned tomatoes – they raise money for Sports Relief too, with £1.50 of the purchase price going towards helping people in need around the world. We don’t fancy your chances of bagging the teal shopper – it’s been on sale since mid-February – but the other two colours (pink and khaki) are due to arrive in store on Wednesday March 7. We’re hoping to snap up one of each – you know, to coordinate with our outfits.
