Do you find yourself shopping in the big supermarkets too often? Do you live in Shepherd’s Bush? If so, discover what local alternatives there are to your grocery shopping by going on this foodie walk. On March 10, the first Talk, Walk, Taste event will be held in Shepherd’s Bush – encouraging people to discover the area’s food scene and local seasonal produce. Walkers will get to meet neighbourhood shopkeepers and food growers, who will give a bit of insight into their locally-sourced produce. The two-hour walk (starting 11am) will be accompanied by talks on ethical food shopping, the plight of street markets and the changing nature of our high streets. Since all that walking and talking about food is sure to get stomachs rumbling, there’s a big feast at the end – cooked by the educational non-profit organisation The Mini Cooking Club. And the best is that it’s all for free! Book early to bag your spot.
