Since its relaunch in late 2011, this East End pub has been buzzing with enterprise: hooking up with the chefs from Lucky Chip for a burger and hot-dog collaboration (initially planned for two months, now prolonged until at least the end of March) and offering regular gigs and entertainment. Now The Sebright Arms is staging a two-day real ale festival on March 10/11 (noon-10.30pm), showcasing the best of what London microbreweries have to offer. Pints of craft beer will go for £2.50 a pop, and you’ll be able to get your hands on some ‘sneak peak brews’ by the Hackney Brewery and Weird Beard Brewing – both of which are yet to officially open. The Rockin’ Blues tag may be a bit misleading though, as there will be no live music. Instead, DJ Gaz Mayall (from Gaz’s Rockin’ Blues) will be behind the decks on Saturday, add some cracking tunes to this local real ale festival.
