What if Tube stations were sponsored?
Madrid’s transport authorities have begun selling sponsorship rights to their subway stations, the Guardian reports, so this month, for example, their busy ‘Puerta del Sol’ station will be known as the ‘Sol Galaxy Note.’ Back in London, TfL say they aren’t considering anything similar, but they once flirted with turning Oxford Circus into Oxford Landing Circus, and with the Emirates Air Line cable car joining the Barclays Cycle Hire scheme, we thought we’d identify our most rebrandable stations, just in case the worse came to the worst…
