Chocoholics anonymous no more! Go out and indulge in your favourite vice at the Southbank Centre’s annual chocolate festival March 30-April 1. Over three days, celebrated chocolatiers – including Paul A Young and William Curley – will be presenting their indulgent chocolate creations, while industry experts give a variety of mouthwatering talks, demonstrations and tastings. Don’t miss the master chocolatier afternoon on Saturday, where five top chocolatiers (including Bill McCarrick and Damian Allsop) will share secrets on how to make the perfect chocolates. Also, chef Maria Elia will show how to make Asian-infused chocolate tartlets with chocolate and lime ganache filled lychees (7pm Fri). There’s also a slow chocolate tasting, urging people to ‘melt, not munch’ (2pm Fri, Sun). And, prepare your tastebuds for some unusual delights, as the Arancini Brothers will be making risotto balls with a chocolate centre, and the Meantime Brewery serves chocolate-flavoured beer.
