Tune in: artists mark end of analogue television

London’s switchover from analogue to digital television transmission starts today (April 4) and there’s an opportunity to mark the occasion by taking in two exhibitions in response to the event. The ICA’s new show ‘Remote Control’ explores how artists over the past 40 years have responded to television, through film, sculpture, print, and performance, while at Ambika P3 David Hall’s ‘End Piece…’ is an installation of 1,001, now obsolete, cathode ray tube TVs. Transmitting different channels, they will all fade to fuzzy static when the last signal is shut down forever on April 18. Make sure you tune in
