Tube posters from days gone by

For a while now we’ve been admiring Andrew Stanney’s artful pictures of worn and torn posters on the underground, patiently waiting for him to have an exhibition but apparently like busses and animals of the ark, they come in twos. The first starts today (April 5) at the Residency Gallery called ‘Home Office of the Fan Fiction Empire‘ celebrating fleeting temporality and  the second ‘Ought to be Bought‘, is an auction on April 25 selling Andrew’s work alongside well known contemporary artists. He’s also teaming up with Ajit Chambers from the Old Underground Company so hopefully we will see even more of his work on display soon. Andrew’s photos beautifully capture moments past, fulfilling our love of London days gone by and our need for tube discoveries. We love them and think you will too.

Check out Andrews work at in-passing.co.uk.
