It may have escaped your attention, but the Olympics are coming to London, and with only 100 days left until the greatest show on earth, yawn/yippee (delete as applicable) things are starting to heat up. Today London’s West End – one of the city’s most successful industries – performed a sporting warm-up exercise routine around Trafalgar Square’s Olympic clock. The 100 West End cast members were joined by a host of spokespeople from the world of entertainment and sport including Billy Elliot Director Stephen Daldry who’s also Chief Executive of the Opening Ceremonies. In true showbiz style the show must go on, and the performers braved the rain, putting on a great performance to the delight of the foreign media and passers by.
