When you think luxuriant oasis, Trafalgar Square doesn’t exactly spring to mind. Not so this Saturday (April 21) as horticulturalist Sarah Eberle transforms London’s foremost public space into a beautiful English garden. The urban green space will host live music and theatre performances centred around a purpose built ornamental bandstand, alongside a colourful line-up of roaming entertainers, face painting and a garden treasure trail for children. There will also be horticultural talks from those in the know, as well as pop up gardening installations all set against the verdant hub that is Trafalgar Square. Be warned though, spring is brief and the square will be in bloom for one day only. Didi Mae Hand
