Tomorrow: dust off that old Chewbacca costume for a sci-fi party parade!

Sci-Fi-London Easter Parade

Let’s face it, we all bought an enormous Chewbacca costume for a fancy dress party and thought to ourselves – “oh, I’ll definitely wear this again!” Right? Well, now’s your chance. This Sunday, April 29, Sci-Fi London are celebrating their 11th anniversary festival with a stonking great costume parade. Come as a stormtrooper, a steampunk or a superhero; the parade is led by two Zombie Olympians so basically anything goes. With zombie brides looking drop-dead gorgeous in  blood-splattered meringues and an after party that will in all likelihood feature a Luke or two with their bagel haired princesses, there’s literally nothing not to love about this. Sure, the procession might look like a bit of a Space Oddity, but so long as you’re not afraid of a little science friction with bewildered passers-by, it’ll be a (phaser) blast. Participants should assemble at midday at Victoria Embankment Gardens, dressed to impress and ready to party! Didi Mae Hand
