If you liked Aussie café Lantana then you’ll love its sibling Salvation Jane. Much bigger than the original, it has a large display counter for takeaway orders, plus a spacious dining room at the back. Just like at Lantana, there’s a big emphasis on brunch-style dishes, such as French toast with maple syrup, bacon and fried bananas. Lunch is dominated by sandwiches, salads and more substantial main courses with an Australian influence, while small plates take over in the evenings. Don’t forget the cakes: the cherry ripe slice – a homage to the Australian chocolate bar of the same name – would make any Aussie swoon for home.
