If, like most of us, you didn’t manage to get your hands on Olympic tickets, then be consoled in the knowledge that on Saturday May 26 you have the chance to throw yourselves into yet another ticket scramble. Ok, it may not be for the games itself but at 10am tomorrow Haringey Council is releasing 4,000 free tickets for its Olympic Torch Relay Party, taking place at the historic Alexandra Palace (voted one of Time Out’s best music venues). The event will celebrate the end of the Harrow-Haringey leg of the relay with live music and entertainment from local performers. The torch will enter the Park from the Alexandra Way and will end its journey at the Palace, where the Olympic Cauldron will be lit. You don’t have to be a Haringey resident to get tickets, Ally Pally is one of London’s more magnificent buildings and with great views across the capital (see above) this party is a sure fire way to reinvigorate your Olympic Spirit, wherever you live.

For more info how to get your hands on tickets, see haringey.gov.uk/olympics.
