Nordic cool from ‘The Fool’ magazine
Every so often a new food magazine comes along which blows our socks off. Last year it was Lucky Peach; an offbeat, irreverent and very New York style and food magazine produced by Momofuku’s David Chang (first editions now change hands for £30 or more on eBay). This time, it’s a Swedish export. Published in English, ‘The Fool’ is produced by the husband-and-wife team of Per-Anders Jörgensen and Lotta Jörgensen, who are respectively one of the world’s top food photographers and one of Sweden’s leading magazine designers. As you might expect, it is a thing of great beauty, packed with Per-Anders’ distinctively stark but beautful photography, and features that champion the elite of restaurant food in Sweden and elsewhere.
