Should the Jubilee Line be renamed for her Majesty? If so, what should we call it?!

In the spirit of monarchist mania that has recently been gripping the capital, six Labour MP’s have proposed re-naming London Underground’s Jubilee Line (originally named to mark Her Majesty’s Silver Jubilee in 1977) the Elizabeth Jubilee Line. Under an Early Day Motion, the MPs, who include Jim Fitzpatrick, MP for Poplar and Limehouse, and Seema Malhotra, MP for Feltham and Heston, call: ‘for the Jubilee Line to be renamed the Elizabeth Jubilee Line, to commemorate the great occasion of this Diamond Jubilee year.’ Given that the train that caused the massive tube meltdown on the Thursday before the Jubilee bank holiday was – no prizes – a Jubilee Line train, and one of two on the line that had been especially decorated in patriotic patterns, we think her Maj might want to take a rain check on that one.
