Readers of the current issue of Time Out mag will know that Martin Amis, one of Britain’s most prolific authors is back. His latest offering, ‘Lionel Asbo: State of England’, is a return to the familiar Amis theme of the destructive role of money in our society. Written from the relative distance of his new home in Brooklyn, Amis has returned to the big smoke to promote the book, and we have managed to pin him down. In collaboration with Foyles, Time Out Live will be bringing you and Amis together in the collegiate environs of UCL’s Bloomsbury theatre on June 12. The author will be talking about his work, his latest offering in particular, followed by a signing. Ellie Clayton

This is our pick of this week’s Hot List. Buy tickets at the Martin Amis listing or see the other Hot List recommendations.
