See a comedy show, get free meat. Buy a book, see a free comedy show

We love live comedy here at Time Out, but sometimes we wish promoters would combine stand-up gigs with other experiences; flame-grilled food, say, or a shopping experience… Whaaa’? They’ve done just that? Ideal. Throughout June and July The Invisible Dot in Camden is hosting double-bills of Edinburgh Fringe previews with a free barbecue during the interval (tonight you can catch Edinburgh Comedy Award-nominees Nick Helm and Gareth Richards). And tomorrow evening, Foyle’s on Charing Cross Road is hosting a bill of superbly inventive alternative comics including Bridget Christie and John-Luke Roberts. To get in? Just purchase yourself a book (from Foyle’s, of course) of RRP £5 or more and the comedy’s free! Pre-reservation is essential, though, so email events@foyles.co.uk to book your seat.

For more info, see either Barbeque Preview or Comedy in Foyles Cafe.
