During these hard times and the impending zombie apocalypse (if the amount of zombie events happening in London is anything to go by, it’s going to happen), the Scouts’ motto – ‘always be prepared’ – comes to mind. It may be hard to believe but our busy metropolis is full of free, edible plants just waiting to be plucked and cooked. Join the Otesha Project UK on July 7 for a gentle bike ride around the green spaces of Tower Hamlets accompanied by a wild food expert and discover all the delicious (and dangerous) plants our city has to offer. Bring your bike, wits and notepad to learn a skill that will save pennies, the planet and goodness knows what else… Carly-Ann Clements
