Where’s the best place to display your art? Your fridge? A gallery? How about one of the world’s most famous billboards? Forward Arts Foundation has teamed up with Piccadilly Lite for this year’s Poetry Day on October 4 and they’re looking for your input. All filmmakers, digital artists and animators aged 18-30 have the opportunity to be part of a special film montage responding to Charles Causley’s poem ‘I Am the Song’. A panel of judges will choose the most inspired 30 second contributions which will then be incorporated into the film and displayed on the gigantic illuminated screen in Piccadilly Circus for the entire day. If you or your friends can’t make it into the city that day, the film will also be available online. You have until August 15 to enter so sharpen your virtual pencils and get to work.
