CitizenM Reports alternatives to the Olympics

Worried that Olympic mania will stifle talk of anything else that’s going on in the capital in the next few weeks? Looking for something to do other than play Dodge the Bewildered Tourist and risk suffocation on a rammed tube? Then citizen journalists of London, unite! This is the rallying call from new hotel, citizenM Bankside, which wants to instil enthusiasm about everything happening around us during the Olympics. Well, everything but sports.

The aim of citizenM Reports is to help London’s cultural scene retain its voice over the forthcoming frenzied few weeks with guests, visitors, students and locals becoming reporters to document the current city buzz. Between July 30-August 9 there’ll be expert-led workshops (from street style photography to foodie London) and guest speakers set to inspire the new resident reporters, whose work will be hosted on a citizenM Reports microsite. Natalie Gil
