How friendly are you, London?

The Department of Friendliness

In the midst of grey concrete, grey skies and a sea of grey suits, it’s not surprising that London is often considered to be the second most unfriendly city in the world – there was survey to prove it and everything. We’ve all been guilty of avoiding eye contact on the Tube or inwardly cursing that group of jovial tourists, but we think overall this is damn a friendly city. And to try and  prove it, Fallon have introduced The Department of Friendliness. They want you to share your acts of urban friendliness on Instagram including the hashtag #DoF12 before August 13 for your chance to have you picture displayed at the Getty Gallery and mainline railway stations across London. If you’re lacking inspiration, keep your eye out for the Department of Friendliness bus on August 4 as they pick up miserable passengers and transport them to London Instameet, where a team of ‘Instagramers’ will try to put a smile on their previously despondent faces. We wish them luck! Carly-Ann Clements
