No matter how old you are, the thought of spending a night with dinosaurs is pretty damn exciting (even if it did end poorly for Dr Alan Grant and the gang) and now you have your chance to try it. After a slight delay at the beginning of the year, the Natural History Museum is finally opening its doors for a grown-up sleepover on August 17. Kick things off with a three course meal before enjoying some comedy, cocktails, a lecture on insect sex (with the option to chow down on some of the little critters if you wish) before curling up beneath Dippy, the friendly diplodocus and tucking in to a full English breakfast in the morning. This is the first time the museum will be letting adults in for the night so there’s a strict list of rules you have to abide by (including no pyjamas!) and at £175 (not including alcohol) it doesn’t come cheap, but the childish joy of finding out if that giant blue whale comes to life after dark is worth it, right?
