East London is a maze of hidden backstreets, bizarrely placed pop-ups and neatly hidden secrets that even residents can find hard to navigate, so imagine how hard it’s been for the cacophony of tourists who flocked to the city for the Games. Thankfully Mother was there, decked out with sandwich boards and holding placards aloft offering help to those needing directions and all for just a small cost – a simple photo. In collaboration with photographer Caroll Taveras, the evolving exhibition You Are Here consists of images depicting the ‘lost’ people in London over the course of the Olympics. From gold winning athletes to families on holiday, Taveras has captured over 200 people from across the globe trying to find their way through our city using 4×5 Polaroids. See the pics at Mother until August 24. Carly-Ann Clements
