How can cult films like ‘The Graduate’, ‘The Big Lebowski’ or ‘The Goonies’ be improved? The Lexi Cinema in Kensal Rise and the Salt Yard Group restaurants think they’ve found a way: by screening them outside in a park and serving Ibérico burgers, patatas fritas and salt cod croquettes alongside. If that isn’t appealing enough, what about ushers bringing gazpacho, smoked paprika popcorn and almond caramel ice cream to your seat? Just a touch better than stale nachos coatled with liquid ‘cheese’. Screenings: The Goonies, August 18; The Graduate, September 8; The Big Lebowski, September 22 in Queen’s Park.
