There’s a melancholic vibe in our fair city as we mourn the Olympics and patiently wait for the Paralympics to begin. As the glory fades and everything goes back to grey we’re in desperate need for something vibrant, and thankfully BLOOM is keeping that vivid, overly-familiar hot pink in our city a little bit longer. Creating a truly social game, the Bartlett School of Architecture has introduced thousands of building cells to various locations around London, leaving them to grow organically in the hands of passersby. The flexible fixtures slot together creating building blocks for other worldly shapes. The game has already been played in Victoria Park and the main UCL quad, and is now heading to Trafalgar Square. So get off your computer, leave Angry Birds at home – it’s time to make social games physical. Carly-Ann Clements
