Barbecued ribs with black treacle glaze, smoked pulled pork shoulder, cider glazed spit-roast pig – have we got your attention yet? Dingley Dell – The Suffolk high-welfare pig farmers are paying one of their ‘Flying Visits’ to the Leather Bottle pub in Earlsfield on Tuesday August 21 (from 7pm) for a pork-fuelled party in the beer garden. Also on the guest list are the World BBQ Championship finalist Andy Annat and chef Adam Simmonds from the Michelin-starred Danesfield House in Marlow, who are helping to create the six-course pig out. Each dish is paired with drinks from the Meantime Brewery or Aspall Cyder, and at £25 a ticket, we think it’s a bit of a bargain. There’s a pig butchery demonstration too, and the whole thing’s supported by the RSPCA’s Freedom Food.
