It’s official. The Olympics are well and truly over. Tuesday saw the Olympic rings fall from the capital’s grace as they were taken down from Tower Bridge. Sad times. But London’s not quite ready to leave the spotlight and neither is the famous bridge. The sudden empty space has now been filled with the Agitos – the official symbol of the 2012 Paralympic Games. The red, green and blue gyroscopic swirls were lowered to welcome the athletes that started arriving in London and will remain above our dear old Thames throughout the Paralympic Games that run from August 29 to September 9.
