It’s time for your Summer Rites in Shoreditch Park

Posted at 9:15 am, September 2, 2012 in Music & Nightlife

So yesterday was Brighton and Hove’s annual Pride festival but who needs sun, sea and sand to have a good time? Not us, that’s for sure. If you couldn’t make it south, don’t fear as it’s time for this year’s last gay outdoor festival today (September 2) in Shoreditch Park. Head down to Summer Rites to get your groove on to Mutya, Boy George and Cazwell (hopefully he’ll perform the song above), have a cheeky bump in the dodgems before heading to one of six club tents (with sets from Dalston Superstore, East Bloc, Gutter Slut and the George & Dragon). Prepare yourself for surprise personal appearances throughout the day (please let it be Madonna). With so much to do at the meagre price of £25 (in advance, more on the door), we don’t know what you’re waiting for. Grab your hot pants and go.

For more info, see the Summer Rites listing.
