Tamarind and Thyme

Our list of 100 best dishes in London is a sure fire way to get you hungry. Sweet, savoury, spicy, fancy, cheap, exotic and classic – this is one hell of an edible bucket list. As if that wasn’t enough to get your mouthwatering, we’ve also asked some of London’s best food bloggers to pick their fave dishes in the capital. Today it is the turn of Tamarind and Thyme, her top ten dishes includes the potato fondant at Charlotte’s Bistro, and just for you we asked her to tell us more about her absolute favourite…

Salted Egg Yolk corn at Si Chuan
Sweetcorn with salted egg yolk has to be my current favourite. The fried sweetcorn kernels are coated in a sandy, salty yolk mixture, which gives them their other name: ‘Golden Sands corn’. Si Chuan restaurant in Acton serves a brilliant version that isn’t overly greasy.
