DIY revival: make a book in a day

A book in a day

In an age where we can buy everything – from crustless bread to self-vacuuming Hoovers – isn’t it nice every once in a while to do it yourself? Cue creative couple Alan O’Cain, a prolific artist, poet and former teacher, and his wife Juliet Lunn, an IT analyst turned bookbinder, who, in five hours, will teach you how to design and make a hardback book. They run regular classes at the Saatchi Gallery, but they also do private events. And don’t worry about struggling to remember all the steps, because at the end of the class, they’ll give you a password to access the tutorials on their website, so you can continue to get creative at home.
