Swedish-based AVEQIA is the latest Scandinavian cooking and dining operation to take up residence in the UK. Open in Farringdon from September 17, this restaurant-cum-cooking school gives diners the opportunity to cook with the pros, then sit down and eat the results. Focussing on Nordic cuisine, many of the chef-instructors here have worked at establishments such as Le Gavroche in London , or the renowned Operakällaren in Stockholm. Tickets start from £95 for a four-course meal, sparkling wine, and – drum roll please – a free apron.
