10 Downing Street Illuminated Pink by Sam Mellish 2011

Didn’t paint the town red this weekend? Don’t worry, because London is all about going pink these days. In the past, during Breast Cancer Action Month everything from 10 Downing Street to the White House  have shone in the pink spotlight during the annual global event and this year is going to be rosier than ever. Keep your eyes peeled from 7pm tonight as Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London and eight other London landmarks will be illuminated in a pink glow to launch Breast Cancer Action Month. Throughout October, people are encouraged to wear, buy, paint and think pink to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. Head to high ground this evening and see if you can spot the warm glow shining through the drizzle.

Head to either Buckingham Palace, HMS Belfast, Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column, The Tower of London, BT Tower, Somerset House, Tower 42, the Blue Fin Building or the Heron Tower for a closer look.
