Snap happy: Photomonth takes over the East End

Posted at 1:00 pm, October 2, 2012 in Arts & Entertainment

Is it any wonder that Photomonth is taking place in London’s East End? The area where talent, beauty and hardship collide makes the perfect backdrop for this year’s ‘Radical London’ themed show.  The slightly misleadingly named international photography festival (lasting two months, not one) features talks and exhibitions all over east London, with highlights including: the Photofair, Portfolio Review and Photo-Open. And if that didn’t sound appealing enough as it is, our good friend Patrick Dalton (aka ‘Shit London‘) has teamed up with Daniel Alexander for the opening show 1DAY6CITIES at Oxford House which includes films and stills taken simultaneously on the same day in six separate cities around the world. Carly-Ann Clements

Catch 1DAY6CITIES when it opens the festival tomorrow evening (October 2) or see Photomonth.org for a full list of events.
